Since 2017, the curators of the Transylvanian Art Centre curators brought together in the upstairs exhibition space of the Arcade House (Lábasház) the works of young artists closely linked to Transylvania, realizing a total of 19 solo and 5 group exhibitions, which were intended to reflect the current state of the work of young artists, in some cases giving them a chance to make their debut.

The curator, Péter Madaras, as the employee of the Transylvanian Art Centre, for the last two years has been actively researching and following the work of Hungarian artists with Transylvanian ties, and, following a subjective selection process, thirty-five young artists were invited to showcase their work at the present exhibition. The aim of the Instinct exhibition is on one hand to take stock of the current state of the work of the artists addressed in the call, providing a framework and an opportunity to show the fruits of their current creative activity, and on the other hand, to give a more or less comprehensive picture of the different artistic expressions of the Transylvanian zeitgeist.
